About the event
Pope Leo XIV called this, “one of the texts that has most shaped my spiritual life.” “It’s a very simple book…but it describes, if you will, a type of prayer and spirituality where one simply gives his life to the Lord and allows the Lord to lead.”
We will read at home, and then discuss in our groups, the Conversations, Letters, and Spiritual Maxims of St. Lawrence, grouped in themes such as:
Practicing God’s Presence / Constant awareness / Deep trust / Peace in Chaos / The Role of Suffering / Accessible Holiness / Developing Habits of Love
Please obtain a copy of The Practice of the Presence of God before our first session. Any copy should have 15 or 16 Letters, and preferably also the Spiritual Maxims (although I can email them if needed).
